Is ReFacing cheaper than new cabinets?

YES!  However, comparing the price of ReFacing with a Total Kitchen Replacement is only half the battle.  Just like any other product or service you will find many price points.  You should always get three prices!

We have found 3 things to be true:

1. Pushy sales people who say you must sign right away are ALWAYS the highest price.
2. Pay too much and you lose the value of your investment. Pay too little and you end up with shoddy work.
3. Go with the people who you make the best connection with.
   

When it comes down to it, you are depending on people to perform and give you what you want. They have to be people you can trust! It is the people that make the company.

Do you have references or referrals?

YES! Just ask and we can provide you a list of customers in the area who would be happy to tell you about their experiences with us.

What types of Cabinetry do you offer?

We carry off-the-shelf lines which are high quality, no pressboard, all wood construction at some extremely attractive price points. These can be cash-and-carry or installed by us.

Our best value is the AHK Signature line of custom built cabinets. This line is priced (and has proven to be) competitive even with the "big box" stores. These come in any style, any shape, any design and any configuration. This offers an incredible value to the customer because you are getting the absolute best in terms of construction and design flexibility without paying the huge premium commonly associated with custom cabinetry. We have a shop manager with a degree from the New England School of Architectural Millwork who continues to enhance our line and finds ways to offer more while keeping costs down. We are dedicated to new technologies and have continually found customers are very surprised at the quality and options for the price. Get a quote and see for yourself!

Do you offer total new kitchen design?

YES! We have kitchen designers who can walk you through an entire project. We can bring in one of our licensed construction carpenters to change the space, move walls, open up doorways and do any manner of design changes to your home. Or, we can take your existing space and redesign it with a totally new layout.

Do you use sub-contractors?

All carpentry, customer service and project management is done by an AHK employee. We have long term partnerships with a tile setter, drywall installer, electrician, plumber and flooring contractor. You can view their insurance and license information in our office. Please feel free to contact a long list of customers who have had the pleasure of working with the entire team. You will meet and come to know everyone in advance and feel comfortable that there are no "strangers" in your home doing the work.

Can any cabinets be ReFaced?

YES! Metal cabinets, old cabinets, even pressboard cabinets…all can be ReFaced. Real wood cabinet ReFacing actually strengthens cabinetry.

Can I make a change to my existing cabinets if I choose ReFacing?

YES! We can add in a micro oven-hood and make room for a larger refrigerator or a new double oven. We can convert a double oven into a pantry. We even install beautiful new dovetail maple drawers on almost every kitchen. We add roll out shelving, trash containers and all sorts of space saving conveniences.

Do you have a showroom where we can see samples?

YES! We have showroom, office and workshop centrally located in Windsor, CT. It’s nice to stop in and visit the people you are trusting to work in your home.

Is there any time of the year that you are slow and prices are lower?

Not really. As a family business, it is important to us to make sure we have the right amount of work to keep everyone busy. We have had the good fortune to always see great demand for our products and services, and that continues to grow.

The kitchen is the single most important investment in your home.

Do you offer discounts for senior citizens or any other reason?

YES and YES! We would never be so bold as to assume you are eligible so please ask! We often have coupons available or have certain products, styles or colors that are on special. Some of our vendors offer incentives, and we pass those along to our customers.
